The Merchant Marine Pacific War Zone Bar was established on May 10, 1943 by Public Law 52. It was issued for service in the Zone including the North and South Pacific and the Indian Ocean east of 80 degrees east longitude, during the period from December 7, 1941 to November 8, 1945.

I made a shadow box for my boyfriend displaying his grandfather's service awards while he was in the Merchant Marines and a reserve police officer. My boyfriend and I are both officers and his grandfather was very special to him(he has passed away).I received the medals/bars fast and they were exactly what I was hoping they would be!
