The Cold War medal was designed for all those awarded the Cold War Certificate by the U.S. Government. The medal has a stylized Berlin wall and an Asian structure to symbolize the division of Germany and the ongoing defense of South Korea after the Korean War. The ribbon has stripes of red, white and blue, a field of red to symbolize the struggle against communism, edged in black to honor our many servicemen that died in this struggle.
