This medal was designed to honor the brave veterans that fought in this fierce battle. It took place during the winter, so the ribbon is symbolically white. The medal depicts a tank escorting the 101st Airborne troops as they march in victory out of the town of Bastogne were the battle was fought. The reverse bears the official seal of the WWII 50th Anniversary.
