Route 66 Patrol Badge

Route 66 Patrol Badge story in the box:

Route 66 (a.k.a. “The Mother Road" and "Main Street of America") was viewed as the road to opportunity throughout the first half of the 1900’s.  Established in 1926 this 2,448 mile highway starts in Chicago, IL and ends in Santa Monica, CA.  It runs through 8 states - Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.  It was the only road to connect small towns with large metropolitan cities.  Route 66 ushered in the development of tourism, as it was one of the original sites for motels, filling stations, and motor courts.  In 1946, Nat King Cole released “Get Your Kicks On Route 66”, creating a slogan for the American motorist.

Our brass badges are crafted out of solid brass. They are double-stamped then antiqued.  Next, each badge is individually hand finished for a unique antique look. They will continue to darken with time.

FREE with every Route 66 badge: a white jewelry style box with a story about Route 66 inside the lid OR a hang card for peg hook displaying.
