WWII 50th Anniversary of Guam Liberation Commemorative Medal


This medal was designed in to commemorate the liberation of Guam from the Japanese.  At the beginning of WWII, the Japanese had taken Guam from the U.S. Marines.  Later in the war the U.S. Marines recaptured the island, and symbolically raised the US Flag over their original damaged barracks.  The reverse side bears the official seal of the 50th Anniversary Committee.

The 50th Anniversary of Guam Liberation Commemorative Medal comes with ribbon bar.
