Roy Rogers was born on November 5, 1911 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He landed his first starring role as a singing congressman in Under Western Skies in 1938. In Sons of the Pioneers, Roy plays a scientist pressed into following in the footsteps of his lawmen father and grandfather to stop a gang of cattle poisoners and arsonists. Songs include "He's Gone Up The Trail," "Come And Get It," "Things Are Never What They Seem," Trail Herdin' Cowboy," and "The West Is In My Soul."
