Pieces of History announced the minting of a new 50th Anniversary Commemorative Medal which honors all United States Veterans who served in Southeast Asia from 1956 -1975 during the time of the Vietnam War.
The 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War ribbon drape represents the flag of the Republic of Vietnam, which consists of a yellow field and three horizontal red stripes. It is flanked by stripes of green to represent the jungles of Vietnam. On the left side of the ribbon are stripes of red, white and blue representing the United States flag, and on the right side are stripes of white and black representing the POW-MIA flag.
